Abacus Insights is a mission-driven, growth-stage technology company focused on transforming the healthcare industry, ultimately creating a more personalized patient experience, improving health outcomes, and lowering the overall cost of healthcare. Abacus Insights provides a flexible, efficient, and secure platform that organizes and exchanges healthcare data from various sources and formats, allowing our customers to uncover differentiated insights that address their clients' needs. In addition, our employees know that they play an active role in keeping our customers' data safe and are responsible for ensuring that our comprehensive policies and practices are met.

With our deep expertise in cloud-enabled technologies and knowledge of the healthcare industry, we have built an innovative data integration and management platform that allows healthcare payers access to data that has been historically siloed and inaccessible. As a result, these payers can ingest and manage all the information they need to transform their business by supporting their analytical, operational, and financial needs through our platform.

Since our founding in 2017, Abacus has built a highly successful SaaS business, raising more than $100 Million by leading VC firms with profound expertise in the healthcare and technology industries. We are solving massive complex problems in an industry ready for disruption. We're building powerful momentum and would love for you to be a part of it!

About the Role:

As an Agile Coach, you’ll be the catalyst for agility across globally distributed teams building healthcare technology solutions. You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership, coaching Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Developers in the US, Nepal, and India. Your mission is to build self-organizing, continuously improving teams that achieve sustainable high performance through disciplined agility, data-driven retrospection, and human-centered leadership–delivering measurable business value to customers.

You Will:

  • Coach teams to embrace true agility, focusing on delivering business goals and ensuring Scrum events embody the “inspect-and-adapt” principle rather than ritualistic compliance.
  • Guide Scrum Masters in facilitation, impediment removal, and effective prioritization.
  • Guide Product Owners in backlog refinement, prioritization and technical debt elimination.
  • Influence tooling and process flow improvements for roadmaps, etc.
  • Promote sustainable pace ensuring teams optimize for energy, not exhaustion.
  • Measure and communicate improvements using velocity trends, cycle time, and happiness metrics.
  • Help build strong working relationships across teams in US, Nepal, and India, ensuring time zone differences don’t hinder agility or alignment.
  • Shape an Agile culture and lead change management efforts to embrace best practices, including engaging at the executive, management, performer and team level

What We're Looking For:

  • Typically has 10+ years in software delivery, including 3+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
  • Deep expertise in Scrum, Lean, XP, Agile principles, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong in project management skills and product development experience in agile organizations.
  • Familiarity with systems thinking, complex adaptive systems, and feedback-driven learning.
  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner and Agile Coaching from globally reputed organizations.
  • Excellent facilitation, mentoring, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to create psychological safety while sustaining team velocity.
  • Experience coaching through servant leadership, not authority.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with DevOps, automation, and AI to support flow and continuous delivery.
  • Background in US healthcare as a developer, Scrum Master, Business Analyst or Product Owner.
  • Experience in scaling agility using industry recognized frameworks.
