The Role:

  • The Data Architect proactively leads and supports software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects
  • This role will be responsible for expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams in alignment with architectural governance and standards
  • Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes (healthcare and specifically in PBM )
  • The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems
  • Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy
  • Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system
  • Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution

Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization

  • Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipelines to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
  • 5+ year of experience with Azure services like Azure VMs Azure storage, ACS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Logic Apps, ACS and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar services in a major cloud provider
  • 5+ year of experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
  • 5+year of experience with Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights for tracking performance, diagnosing issues, and ensuring the health of cloud services
  • Demonstrated ability to write, debug, and maintain Infrastructure as code (IaC), PowerShell and Azure CLI scripts
  • Understanding of Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Azure Gateways, S2S VPn and Azure ExpressRoute
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and hands-on experience with Azure security tools like Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, Purview and Azure Firewall
  • Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs, using Azure Cost Management, billing or third-party tools
