Role: Data Architect

Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)

Mode of Hire: Contract-Hire

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and managing the overall data architecture strategy and framework. You will work closely with ETL developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensuring that data solutions align with business goals and technical requirements. This role requires expertise on migrating current state DTS packages to Future state SSIS Packages as per standards. Required to manage internal and customer stack holders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architecture solutions that meet business requirements and technical constraints.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Lead the migration of legacy DTS packages to SSIS, ensuring optimal performance and minimal disruption.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data integration, data quality, and data governance.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, ETL developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data flows, and ETL processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to ETL developers and other team members.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to the data architecture to ensure it meets changing business needs and technological advancements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, data integration, and data management.

Technical Skills:

  • 12 to 15 years of experience in data architecture, data integration, and ETL development.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server, including database design, development, and performance tuning.
  • Strong expertise in SSIS and proven experience migrating DTS packages to SSIS.
  • In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Certification in data architecture or related fields.
