Role Overview

The District Sales Manager will lead HeartFlow’s commercial expansion across the Midlands, a priority growth region within the UK. The role requires strong sales acumen, commercial leadership, and an established cardiology network to drive both new account acquisition and deep penetration within existing sites. The individual will be accountable for building sustainable revenue growth by influencing clinical pathways, engaging senior stakeholders, and executing with discipline across complex NHS environments. The position is home-based with regular regional travel (60–80%).

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Development
    • Identify, engage, and close new accounts across the Midlands region.
    • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline, leading the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
    • Develop and implement a focused regional strategy aligned with national priorities, with clear accountability for results.
    • Leverage commercial insight and market understanding to prioritise high-value opportunities and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Account Management
    • Drive adoption and sustained utilisation of HeartFlow’s FFRct and cCTA pathway within key accounts.
    • Establish and expand relationships with Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiologists, and Radiology leaders, positioning HeartFlow as a core component of clinical decision-making.
    • Use clinical and economic arguments to influence pathway change and embed HeartFlow into routine practice.
    • Maintain executive-level engagement within hospital systems to support long-term account growth.
  • Commercial Leadership & Network Development
    • Act as the commercial lead for the Midlands, demonstrating ownership of regional performance and execution.
    • Utilise and continuously expand a strong cardiology network to unlock opportunities, accelerate adoption, and build advocacy.
    • Influence multi-stakeholder environments, aligning clinical, operational, and financial priorities.
    • Provide structured feedback from the field to inform broader commercial and market access strategy.
  • Collaboration & Programme Support
    • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Clinical, CT Applications, and Implementation teams to deliver coordinated account plans.
    • Lead and support targeted educational initiatives (clinical meetings, workshops, referral pathway development) to drive engagement and utilisation.
    • Ensure consistency and quality of execution across all customer interactions.
  • Targets & Performance
    • Deliver against defined sales, adoption, and utilisation targets for the Midlands region.
    • Drive measurable increases in cCTA usage and FFRct penetration within accounts.
    • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and account planning through CRM systems.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales acumen with a demonstrated ability to close complex healthcare deals.
  • Proven commercial leadership, with ownership of regional strategy and execution.
  • Established cardiology network within the UK, with the ability to leverage relationships to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience influencing clinical pathways and driving adoption of innovative technologies.
  • Ability to operate effectively in multi-stakeholder NHS environments.
  • Clear, structured communicator capable of engaging both clinical and executive audiences.
  • High level of autonomy, discipline, and accountability.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Science, Medicine, Business, or related field preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of healthcare sales experience, ideally in cardiology, cardiovascular diagnostics, or imaging.
  • Demonstrated success in introducing and scaling new technologies within NHS and/or private healthcare systems.

Additional Information

  • Travel: 60–80% within the Midlands region.
  • Base: Home-based, ideally within the Midlands.
