Description

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in grant-writing and research in a rewarding environment.

Location: Remote*

Compensation: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week

*Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington.

The Role:

The Development Associate increases company revenue by executing strategies through grant and research opportunities. Key responsibilities include managing the grant pipeline, evaluating grant and funding opportunities, responding to RFPs, and collaborating with partners. This role reports to the VP of Partner Operations. Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Builds solid relationships with partners and within organization
  • Understands company services to identify and assess qualified business opportunities
  • Sources, reviews, and responds to grant and other funding opportunities
  • Research new funding sources at local, state, and federal levels as well as with corporate and private foundations
  • Identify, compile, describe, organize, analyze, and present data and information for business projects and grant proposals
  • Analyze RFP opportunities, summarize key findings, and facilitate team-based discussion with senior staff in making decisions about whether to pursue funding opportunities and coordinate response, if applicable
  • Attend bidder’s conferences and technical assistance workshops as necessary
  • Tracks and reports funding opportunities
  • Complies with national Protected Health Information laws
  • This includes HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Relationships with federal, state and county funders.
  • Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals. Strong editing skills.
  • Ability to work well independently under pressure and manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, positive and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to uphold the principles of ethical conduct.
  • A basic knowledge of substance use disorders and their effects on individuals, families, and communities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of government organization and administration.
  • Intermediate knowledge of foundation and government funding streams and cycles.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, English, health science, public administration, business, communications, public health or related field.
  • Experience working in substance use disorder treatment industry for 3 years.
  • Demonstrated success in obtaining grant-driven funding and proven ability to research grant prospects for proposal writing.
  • 2 years of grant writing experience.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
Salary Description
30 - 35/hour
