The Senior Technical Product Manager will lead strategy, discovery, prioritization, and delivery for complex digital platform initiatives within the Retirement and Wealth business. The initial focus will be modernizing customer identity and access management capabilities and migrating multiple applications from Auth0 to PingOne, PingOne Verify, and PingOne DaVinci. This role is suited for a product leader who can learn complex systems quickly, engage credibly with engineers and architects, and translate technical decisions into clear customer, business, risk, and delivery implications.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Outcomes

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for customer identity and assigned digital platform capabilities.
  • Translate business, client, customer, security, operational, and technology needs into cohesive end-to-end product solutions.
  • Evaluate existing capabilities and distinguish among required parity, necessary improvement, acceptable change, capability retirement, and future opportunity.
  • Prioritize investments using customer value, business impact, risk reduction, technical feasibility, cost, evidence, and delivery dependencies.

Technical Product Leadership and Delivery

  • Lead structured discovery and document current-state journeys, system behavior, integrations, failure paths, business rules, operational impacts, and future-state requirements.
  • Develop sufficient fluency in authentication, identity, APIs, data flows, integration patterns, platform configuration, security controls, and nonfunctional requirements to guide product decisions and challenge unsupported assumptions.
  • Interpret technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API specifications, system flows, logs, and vendor materials, translating the findings into customer, business, risk, and delivery implications.
  • Create and maintain an executable Azure DevOps backlog with appropriately structured epics, features, stories, enablers, spikes, tasks, dependencies, and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Lead product planning across platform setup, shared capabilities, security controls, application and customer migration, feature rollout, stabilization, and legacy-platform retirement.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, security, operations, and program leaders to build credible plans that account for discovery, design, build, testing, defect resolution, cutover, rollback, and operational readiness.
  • Define measurable readiness, go or no-go, rollback, testing, and post-launch success criteria while coordinating customer communications, support preparation, monitoring, and hypercare.
  • Track risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, and open questions, and provide stakeholders with candid reporting on progress, confidence, tradeoffs, and support needed.
  • Work independently, create clarity in ambiguous situations, and influence decisions across product, technology, security, business, operations, and vendor teams.
Typical schedule for this position is 8 a.m. CT to 5 p.m. CT, with occasional evening and weekend hours to support releases. The role also requires occasional travel for department meetings and team collaboration events.
