Art DirectorPosition Summary:
Responsible for integrating design with strategy to shape the visual narrative of our brand. Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute creative assets that resonate with our Medicare-eligible audience.Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Guides the creation of impactful print and digital assets, spanning enrollment kits, digital advertising, out-of-home, flyers, brochures, newsletters, direct mail, videos, and social media visuals.
- Sets and maintains high standards for design excellence in alignment with our brand aesthetics and target audience. Conducts regular design reviews, providing clear and constructive feedback to enhance the creativity and effectiveness of our visual assets.
- Supports our brand identity and guidelines throughout all design projects, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable visual representation across all mediums. Collaborates with the Marketing team to develop design templates that maintain brand consistency.
- Analyzes design problems and proposes innovative solutions that effectively engage our Medicare-eligible audience. Adapts designs and messaging based on target demographics and market insights to maximize response rates and enrollment.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production artists, copywriters, and marketing team, to bring creative concepts to life.
- Conducts thorough quality checks on all design materials, ensuring accurate information, correct brand usage, and high-resolution reproduction. Reviews final artwork files to ensure print-ready status or optimized formats for digital distribution.
- Monitors a diverse range of projects while adhering to timelines and budget constraints. Prioritizes workload and effectively delegate tasks to team members, ensuring optimum productivity and project outcomes.
- Researches design trends, industry best practices, and innovative approaches in healthcare and Medicare communications. Applies new learnings and techniques to enhance our creative output, staying ahead of competitors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, related field, or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional design experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
- Ability to produce a portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and strategic thinking
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Ability to maintain a positive, flexible attitude towards feedback and a willingness to actively contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Sharp ability to be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of typography and design principles with a strong eye for visual composition
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Preferred:
- Proficiency in motion graphics
- Digital advertising and social media experience
- Skills in illustration, infographics, and storyboarding
- Knowledge of Workfront (or any work management system software)
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.

The hiring range for this position is:
$84,600.00-$113,775.00
