Position:

Sr. Analytics Consultant

Position Summary:

The Senior Analytics Consultant will collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive analyses and generate reports/visualizations (batch, on-demand, and ad hoc) in support of our health plan initiatives.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business to effectively support Lumeris’ reporting and analytical needs.
  • Generate insights to support various areas including claims, enrollment, utilization management, case management, compliance, finance, vendor and provider management, and customer service.
  • Utilize industry-standard data query and analysis tools to drive informed business decisions.
  • Write and interpret complex SQL queries for standard as well as ad-hoc data mining.
  • Thrive in a self-directed work environment to achieve set goals and initiatives.
  • Conduct various ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions across all functional business groups.
  • Analyze, manipulate, and extract data from diverse relational databases.
  • Collaborate on implementing customer dashboards for critical success metrics reporting and program tracking.
  • Mentor junior team members through knowledge sharing and teaching of advanced concepts.
  • Support Analytics leadership in establishing and implementing best practice standards.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or a related field; or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Analytics or related work.
  • Proficiency with SQL, with at least 5 years' experience (preferably in MS SQL Server and AWS Redshift environments).
  • At least 3 years' experience with Tableau.
  • 3 or more years' experience in the healthcare or population health sector.
  • Ability to query and extract data from complex data warehouses using SQL and/or ETL tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with demonstrated data proficiency.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and independently analyze data to reach recommendations and conclusions.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers and analysts.

Location and Travel:

Remote with limited travel to office locations in St Louis, Missouri when required.

Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.

The hiring range for this position is:

$84,600.00-$113,775.00
