Position:

Finance Manager - Value Based Enablement

Position Summary:

Manages a team responsible for the accounting operations impacting health plan clients, which include the production and analysis of periodic financial reports, regulatory reports, payments, and premium billing activities. Ensures accurate and timely operations with a commitment to excellent customer service.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages the activities of and coaches, mentors, motivates, supports, and develops a team of individual contributors and/or supervisors. Manages and/or supports performance management/corrective action plans, goal setting/review, regular guidance and 1-1 check ins, career development/planning, upskilling, resource allocation, staffing, DE&I initiatives, and other People & Culture programs/activities as needed. Fosters accountability and collaboration to ensure team member and overall team success.
  • Responsible for ensuring team provides timely and value added financial support to all functions.
  • Creates continuous process improvement in operational planning, forecasting and fp&a, including annual budgeting process, strategic planning, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
  • Reviews, interprets, and communicates relevant financial and business trends, providing sound recommendations that impact business performance, including the identification of potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develops enhanced financial models and tools in support of the Business Unit and company goals (e.g., revenue growth, cost containment, productivity).
  • Researches and presents economic progressions to assist with the organization's financial planning.
  • Prepares financial information for use in various business reviews, including quarterly operating reviews with corporate and functional reviews and present findings and recommendations.
  • Supports Business Development activities through acquisition, collaboration and divestiture impact analyses
  • Guides special projects and cross-functional teams on key initiatives by developing high performance team.
  • Builds relationships in support of financial planning and performance measurement including reporting and analysis.
  • Performs review of monthly results against the financial plan.
  • Partners with business units to evaluate investment opportunities and cost savings initiatives to maximize resources and create efficiencies.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in conjunction with budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Leverages technology and carries out process improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in finance or accounting or equivalent
  • 6+ years of relevant financial experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
  • 1+ years of leadership experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
  • Skilled at financial modeling and database skills, including MS Office (Excel,
  • PowerPoint, Word, & Access)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Access)
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to identify and help implement process improvements
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coach, develop, and support a team
  • Required to pass a credit check

Preferred

  • MBA
  • Previous experience with financial analysis in the technology industry
  • Previous experience in a high-visibility role

Working Conditions

The hiring range for this position is:

$98,400.00-$132,225.00
