Physician Executive, Business Development and Strategy

Position Summary:

We are seeking an articulate, technology-savvy physician with a deep understanding of primary care and value-based care to drive strategic sales engagements, accelerate deal closures, and influence decision-making among healthcare executives. This role serves as a trusted clinical advisor, bridging the gap between our innovative solutions and the evolving needs of provider organizations, payers, and health systems.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong executive presence, a keen ability to translate complex clinical workflows into compelling business cases, and the confidence to drive conversations toward definitive action.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Client Engagement

  • Lead high-impact discussions with provider organizations, health systems, and payer executives, demonstrating the clinical and financial value of our solutions.

  • Establish credibility as a peer-to-peer clinical expert, effectively articulating the impact of our technology on patient care, provider efficiency, and operational success.

  • Navigate complex sales processes, address objections, and drive consensus among key stakeholders to accelerate decision-making.

Strategic Business Development

  • Act as a key driver of revenue growth, partnering with the sales team to influence purchasing decisions and successfully close deals.

  • Analyze market needs and tailor messaging to align with the strategic priorities of healthcare executives.

  • Provide valuable insights to product and marketing teams to ensure alignment with industry trends and customer needs.

Thought Leadership & Industry Presence

  • Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and executive briefings, positioning the company as a leader in value-based care innovation.

  • Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, case studies, and speaking engagements that showcase the impact of our solutions.

  • Build and maintain a strong professional network with clinical leaders, digital health innovators, and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MD or DO with 3-10 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine.

  • Strong understanding of value-based care models, population health, and healthcare technology.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence C-suite executives and clinical leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles, close high-value deals, and drive business outcomes.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to adapt, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Prior experience in consulting, business development, or healthcare sales is preferred.

  • MBA or Master's Degree in healthcare or other related field
  • Prior operational consulting experience
  • Government sector experience (Medicare or Medicaid products)

The hiring range for this position is:

$238,300.00-$350,575.00
