Director, Clinical OperationsPosition Summary:
Serves as a client facing clinical operations subject matter expert and will play a key role in connecting the evaluation, design, and deployment of new and existing clinical programs and supporting the execution of our value-based clinical models. Owns the results and is responsible for connecting all clinical workstreams to the clients and overall strategy. Supports clinical initiatives in collaboration with the CMO and in-market teams. Collaborates cross-functionally to help navigate and define priorities on behalf of each clinical workstream.Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Has ownership and full accountability for all clinical workstreams. Acts as the client-facing single point of contact to streamline communications.
- Supports clinical assessment of client's current state and identify high-value opportunities and needs for operational success in a value-based model of care.
- Provides expertise that is critical to establishing client strategy based on client specific information.
- Works in partnership with health system client to achieve successful implementation of clinical programs.
- Understands interdependencies of all clinical improvement initiatives.
- Participates in multiple client engagements in parallel, representing all clinical operations initiatives, and establishing courses of action in complex and undefined situations that may not be addressed by existing policies, procedures, or protocols .
- Collaborates with multiple departments within Lumeris relating to innovation, quality, and process improvement to impact best practice and knowledge sharing.
- Helps define and support clinical workstream analytics needs and key performance indicators to measure outcomes and success of clinical programs.
- Grows credibility and maintains strong professional relationships with client and internal partners as the clinical operations central point of contact through regular contact during course of engagement.
- Supports department projects, program development, and other tactics as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 12+ years of relevant clinical experience
- Significant experience in a Healthcare space related to value-based care
- Experience with clinical program development, health care practice operations, quality management, and performance improvement
- Advanced knowledge of Accountable Care Organizations, Medicaid, Medicare, and/or Commercial populations
- Highly skilled at policy, procedure, and clinical content development
- Expert knowledge of value-based care models and clinical programs such as disease management, case management, pharmacy management, and quality improvement programs
- Highly skilled and experienced in consulting, services or population health organizations with a proven ability to foster partner relationships and achieve change within another organization from assessment through implementation
- Proven ability to translate complex clinical and operational concepts into a cohesive, visual story
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to ambiguous environments and clientele with quickly changing priorities and timelines
- Strong history of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility, influencing, and partnering with business and clinical leaders and peers across the organization
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally, own/guide workstreams in a matrixed environment, strengthen and deliver on our agenda, and yield positive change in a high performance settings
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills in both large and small scale settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with all levels internally and externally
- Skilled at program, project, or people leadership with the ability to indirectly guide, coach, mentor, support, and develop a diverse team
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, significantly less if located in client market

In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.
The hiring range for this position is:
