Position:

Functional Team Lead, AI & Clinical Workflows

Position Summary:

The Functional Test Lead will own the test strategy, planning, and execution for AI-based workflows ensuring accuracy, usability, and compliance across patient-facing and clinical applications (e.g., AI agent, BNA, Client Configurations, etc). This role ensures that product releases meet business expectations, clinical safety, and user trust.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute end-to-end functional test plans for AI-driven workflows.
  • Lead manual, exploratory, and integration testing across patient journeys.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and UX to evaluate usability and human factors in AI-assisted workflows.
  • Translate product stories and acceptance criteria into detailed test cases.
  • Validate conversation quality, data accuracy, and edge cases in AI interactions.
  • Hands on experience in manual testing, specifically focused on validating AI-driven products and features.
  • Incorporate explainability, fairness, and bias testing into QA lifecycle.
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to clarify requirements.
  • Maintain traceability from requirements → test cases → defects → release signoff.
  • Mentor functional testers and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Contribute to QA dashboards and quality KPIs (defect density, release health).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in QA/QE, with 2+ years in a functional team.
  • Strong understanding of testing AI systems, rule engines, or data pipelines.
  • Experience validating AI decision support products
  • Experience using tools like TestRail, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare data (FHIR, HL7, claims, EMR).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality metrics, risk-based testing, and validation processes.

Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay rate include your specific skills, experience, qualifications, location, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.

The hiring range for this position is:

$105,780.00-$142,142.25
