The range above represents the minimum and maximum for starting total cash in this role. The total cash offered is based on a combination of factors such as individual proficiency, pay equity, and experience level.

About the Role

Rula is seeking a Sr. Payment Posting Associate to join our Financial Operations team. Reporting to the Payment Application and Credit Manager, this role partners with internal teams and external vendor partners to support accurate payment posting, reconciliation, and credit balance management. You will independently manage complex payment posting, reconciliation, and refund work, investigate discrepancies, monitor payment and credit activity, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting payment accuracy and collections.

You will also identify root causes of payment issues and help improve workflows, including supporting efforts to expand electronic payments and remittances. This role is ideal for someone who applies strong analytical thinking, works independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, and partners across teams to drive resolution of revenue cycle challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of diverse revenue cycle management experience - verification of benefits, Insurance AR, and/or payment posting

  • 3+ years of experience in billing, collections, or adjacent role contributing to end-to-end transformation (process, technology, and people) at a healthcare organization

  • Proven ability to improve and optimize processes, leveraging tools such as Salesforce, AMD, Google Suite/Microsoft Office, payer portals (e.g., Availity), etc. to drive efficiency

  • Expertise applying structure, prioritization and effective communication to solve problems not just for the current state, but also predict future need

  • Familiarity with writing deliverables (e.g. training materials, process documents) that are concise and clear for technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in startup and/or fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Familiarity with diverse insurance billing types (commercial, EAP, Medicare / Medicaid, etc.)

  • Technical savviness and fluency with Salesforce, Google Suite, Zendesk, EHRs, and/or similar platforms

  • Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle management, with a focus on healthcare billing, payment posting and/or credit management with knowledge of credit management for insurance and governmental payers (Medicare or Medicaid)
