THE ROLE

The Director, Life Sciences Partnerships will play a critical role in shaping Sempre’s future pharma strategy, deepening and expanding strategic partnerships, and driving the development of new revenue models at a pivotal moment for the business. While relationship management remains important, this role is fundamentally strategic and value-extending, including architecting how Sempre grows in existing categories while unlocking entirely new ones.

As part of Sempre’s commercial team, reporting directly to the CEO, you will develop a deep understanding of partner needs while designing pathways that increase Sempre’s revenue and long-term differentiation. In this role, you will:

Strategic & Market Expansion

  • Architect Sempre’s pharma strategy in ways that is continuously validating & increasing Sempre’s Total Addressable Market, in spite of a dynamic regulatory environment

  • Develop new revenue models, products, and novel methods of commercialization that expand market share

  • Translate payer / PBM insight into manufacturer value propositions and ROI by articulating the value of a two-sided marketplace and unifying strategy across both sides of the network

Revenue & Product Innovation

  • Vertically own Sempre’s largest manufacturer partnerships by deepening relationships, navigating complex organizations, and continuing to grow and expand large books of business

  • Deeply understand brand-specific painpoints and requirements to tailor GTM strategies to each target

  • Drive GTM strategy for new product lines, including customer signal gathering, needs assessment, early partner pilots, and commercial readiness.

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Partner with internal teams (e.g., engineering, product, patient success, etc.) on roadmapping manufacturer-facing features & integrations to maximize revenue pullthrough

  • Collaborate with Analytics to develop analyses, metrics, reporting, and modeling that better communicates Sempre’s impact and exceeds customer expectations

  • Serve as a bridge between Business Development, Sempre’s leadership team, Advisors, and Board of Directors to advise on revenue forecasting, pricing decisions, account prioritization, risk mitigation, and potential future financings

External leadership & Market Presence

  • Represent Sempre externally at high-stakes meetings with customers, prospective partners, investors, and strategic buyers.

  • Act as a spokesperson for Sempre, clearly communicating our mission, impact, and value proposition.

  • Partner with the CEO and other senior leaders to master external storytelling and communication

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience in life sciences market access, pharma commercialization, GTM strategy, or analytical client-facing roles

  • Demonstrated ability to own & grow large, multi-brand manufacturer accounts, including navigating complex organizations, expanding scope,a nd managing multi-million-dollar books of business

  • Deep understanding of pharma economics across the brand lifecycle, including GTN pressures, ROI, and evolving regulatory considerations

  • Experience translating learnings from other parts of the ecosystem (e.g., payers, PBMs, consumers) to manufacturer strategies, with the ability to unify value propositions across multi-sided marketplaces

  • Strong financial & analytical foundation, with comfort developing pricing models, deal structures, ROI frameworks, and operational projections

  • Proven track record of designing, negotiating, closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals involving technical integrations, regulatory constraints, or multi-party incentive structures

  • Exceptional communication & storytelling skills, with experience presenting to executives, investors, and/or strategic buyers; able to craft crisp narratives, frameworks, and persuasive frameworks

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations, particularly in rapidly evolving environments

  • High empathy, high EQ, and ability to build trust across long sales cycles, diverse partner types, and complex internal/external dynamics

  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, proactively identifying pathways to growth and value creation

  • Experience in early-stage companies is a strong plus

  • MBA is a plus, but not required

  • Remote-first role, with optional hybrid attendance at the San Francisco office. 10% travel may be required at times.

US PAY RANGE & TRANSPARENCY

Sempre Health pays all employees, regardless of location, SF Bay Area salaries. We benchmark pay against private companies with comparable funding, valuation, and/or revenue. As a remote-first company we want you to be able to work from any state you'd like and receive the same pay you would if you worked out of our SF office. Ultimately, we will make you a competitive offer within the range below commensurate with your qualifications and experience.

$177,000 - $215,000 per year, plus variable compensation

  • Follow all security policies and procedures to maintain HITRUST certification and HIPAA compliance

  • Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) according to privacy and security protocols

  • Complete required security awareness training and promptly report any suspected security incidents or vulnerabilities
