Product Manager
Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing and workflow solutions to health plans and TPAs, is looking for a Product Manager to join our team!
We are seeking a strategic, customer-centric Product Manager to lead the vision, direction, and business success of products within our portfolio. This role is responsible for defining product strategy, market positioning, and value realization while providing leadership, coaching, and direction to Product Owners/Business Analysts responsible for day-to-day execution with the Product Dev teams. The Product Manager serves as the connective tissue between business strategy and product delivery. The Product Manager partners with GMs, Engineering Leadership, and Marketing teams to ensure the right outcomes are delivered at the right time. The Product Manager owns the strategic narrative, product-market fit, commercial outcomes, and overall value delivered to customers and SDS.
What you’ll be doing?
Product Strategy and Vision
- Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and long-term strategy aligned to customer needs, business goals, and market opportunities.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and customer research to identify trends, gaps, and expansion opportunities.
- Define value propositions, product positioning, and business cases for new capabilities and investments.
- Ensure strategic alignment between product initiatives and GM-level financial and operational goals.
Roadmap Ownership and Value Alignment
- Own the product roadmap and work cross-functionally to set quarterly and annual priorities.
- Translate strategic objectives into high-level initiatives for execution by BA Product Owners & engineering teams.
- Partner with GMs to ensure roadmap decisions support profitability, scalability, and client outcomes.
- Communicate roadmap progression, priorities, trade-offs, and progress to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
Leadership and Management:
- Management, mentorship, and performance oversight for Product BAs.
- Set expectations and standards for backlog quality, prioritization and value articulation.
- Ensure consistent product ownership practices across teams, including backlog hygiene, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
- Develop Product BAs into Subject Matter Experts within their assigned domains.
Stakeholder and Cross Functional Leadership
- Serve as the senior product leader partnering with Engineering, Commercial team, Client Success, Implementation, Support, Finance, and Marketing.
- Collaborate with Commercial team on go-to-market planning, product launches, and messaging.
- Act as an escalation point for product prioritization, scope decisions, and cross-team dependencies.
Value, Metrics, and Outcomes
- Define and track success metrics including adoption, customer satisfaction, revenue impact, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure continuous improvement in product outcomes and value realization.
Leadership and Culture
- Promote a consistent, scalable product operating model across teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Influence organizational thinking around product management maturity and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for?
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Healthcare Technology Product Management, with demonstrated ownership of product strategy and roadmap.
- 3+ years of experience managing and coaching BAs or Product Owners.
- Proven understanding of Agile and Scrum practices and how they scale across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong business acumen, including experience building business cases and measuring Product ROI.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with product and agile tooling.
- Background in organizations transitioning from project-centric to product-centric delivery models.
Location: This role is located in our Dallas, TX office.
