Job Title & Role Description:

We are seeking a Clinical Applications Solutions Specialist to support the design, development, and optimization of clinical workflows within our various Clinical Applications, with particular emphasis on our Electronic Health Record (EHR) AthenaOne. This role will report to the Manager, Clinical Applications Solutions and serve as a key contributor in identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements that enhance clinical and operational performance.

This role will function as part of the process development and application subject matter expert arm of the Clinical Applications team, with a strong focus on hands-on workflow design, clinical engagement, and solution execution.

Skills Required:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2–4 years working with Electronic Health Records, preferably AthenaOne
  • Experience supporting clinical workflows, process improvement, or application configuration
  • Exposure to healthcare operations or care coordination environments preferred

  • Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of AthenaOne workflows and functionality
  • Basic understanding of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, MIPS, HEDIS)
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation tools and care management workflows

  • Skills:
  • Strong communication skills with both clinical and technical stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving systems and workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach

Key Behaviors:

  • Analyze clinical workflows and identify opportunities for improvement within AthenaOne
  • Build and configure solutions to support optimized end-to-end workflows
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Clinical Applications tools including AI-native encounter, Population Intelligence, and Quality tools
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to gather requirements and validate solutions
  • Support evaluation and implementation of Athena Marketplace tools or third-party vendors
  • Assist in developing job aids, SOPs, and training materials
  • Conduct training sessions (virtual or in-person) for clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Stay current on product releases and ensure team readiness for new features of all supported Clinical Applications
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to change management processes
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives across clinical teams
