Job Description

Must Have

- Foundational experience with Life Sciences Commercial Analytics, Marketing Effectiveness, or Field Force Analytics

- Understanding of pharma data assets and analytical concepts

- Exposure to project management practices, frameworks, and tools (e.g., PMBOK methodologies, Agile ceremonies)

Roles & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will support analytics and technology initiatives across healthcare and life sciences. They will collaborate with cross‑functional and client teams to deliver high‑quality analytical outputs while applying structured project‑management principles.

Domain Expertise

- Apply working knowledge of healthcare and pharma datasets (Commercial, Claims, EMR/EHR, Digital)

- Support analytics within:

- Marketing Analytics (campaign analytics, channel insights, basic mix evaluation)

- Commercial Analytics (KPI dashboards, segmentation support, targeting insights)

Delivery & Execution

- Support project planning activities, including timeline creation, task tracking, risk logging, and stakeholder updates

- Contribute to BI and analytics deliverables under direction of senior analysts or project leads

- Assist with status reporting, documentation, RAID logs, and meeting facilitation

- Help summarize analytical results clearly in business‑friendly language

- Participate in Agile and/or Waterfall project processes (e.g., stand‑ups, sprint planning, requirements sessions)

- Contribute to internal knowledge development and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Overall Skills

- Strong analytical thinking with eagerness to learn and take initiative

- Basic to intermediate understanding of statistical concepts

- Exposure to business process mapping and requirements documentation

- Familiarity with project‑management discipline (planning, risk mitigation, task tracking)

- Experience engaging with stakeholders and assisting with requirements gathering

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Collaborative approach with ability to manage multiple priorities

Technical Skills

- 5+ years of relevant experience (analytics, consulting, data‑driven roles)

- Working proficiency in SQL

- Experience using at least one analytical tool (SAS, R, or Python)

- Exposure to BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) preferred

- Experience with project‑management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, MS Project) is a plus

What Will You Focus On?

- Applying foundational statistical and analytical methods to real‑world life sciences challenges

- Supporting project‑planning and delivery tasks, including coordination and status reporting

- Participating in requirements-gathering sessions to shape analytical and data‑driven solutions

- Collaborating with senior analysts, data engineers, and client teams to develop analytics deliverables

- Working with large datasets to generate insights and prepare presentations

- Contributing to end‑to‑end delivery of assigned use cases with oversight from senior staff

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or related field

- Master’s degree preferred but not required

- Experience or strong interest in healthcare/life sciences analytics

- Project‑management exposure or entry-level certification, such as:

- CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)

- PMI Project Management Ready

- Agile Foundations or Scrum coursework

- Working knowledge of PMBOK or Agile practices
