The RoleWe're looking for a Manager of Operational Performance, who will lead business process optimization efforts to enhance quality, service delivery, and profitability, ensuring strong success with partners across the organization. It combines research, detailed workflow analysis, and KPI-driven operational reporting to identify opportunities and guide strategic improvements. Additionally, this role provides cross-functional support and team leadership to maintain alignment with departmental goals and evolving business needs. This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You’ll roll up your sleeves often. You’ll wear multiple hats. And you’ll help build the foundation for our long-term outcomes with health plan and provider partners. What You’ll DoOptimize Business Processes: Improve contract performance through workflow analysis, data insights, and cross-functional collaboration, including conducting research on best practices and industry trends for the business.- Lead Performance Reporting: Develop and manage operational and contract success reporting with accurate tracking of key quality, utilization, and financial metrics.- Operational Reporting: Oversee the in-depth analysis of existing workflows, utilizing flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Owns operational reporting functions.- Strategic Business Development: Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption.- Deliver Strategic Insights: Translate complex operational and claims data into clear recommendations for leadership and client-facing presentations.- Drive Process Adoption: Implement new processes and tools, streamline manual workflows, and enhance reporting scalability across the organization.- Manage Team and Support Leadership: Oversee team performance, assist executive decision-making, and provide flexible support for evolving organizational needs. What We’re Looking For- Bachelor’s degree required.- At least 5 years of relevant experience in operations, business process optimization, healthcare analytics, or a similar data-driven operational role.- You’re analytical and data driven, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.- Experience with data analytics and visualization (Tableau, Microsoft Excel), database management (Microsoft SQL server, data studios), or programming is a plus.- You’re process oriented, naturally drawn to identifying inefficiencies, mapping workflows, and designing scalable solutions.- A strong communicator who is capable of collaborating across teams, engaging SMEs, and presenting insights and potential solutions to leadership.- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and you’re able to navigate evolving business needs and step into fill organizational gaps when needed.- You’re proactive and self-directed, able to take direction but drive improvements and strategies without waiting for direction.- A high attention to detail, yet strategic, and able to balance accuracy in reporting with big-picture understanding.- You’re tech savvy and tools curious, open to adopting new systems, enhancing dashboards, and improving data. Nice to Have- Experience in healthcare, value-based care, or medical economics is highly beneficial.- Hands-on experience with analytical tools, process mapping methods, and KPI development.- Experience as a leader or team-management capacity given the emphasis on leading reporting functions and driving cross-functional initiatives.- Background in startup-to-scale transition environments.
